Greta and Cat with stuffed car heading west
Saturday was another milestone for Pam and me – our baby girl has moved. Greta attended the University of Georgia here in Athens and even though she hasn’t lived at home for the last 5 years she has always been around.
Now she and her good friend, Cat have moved out West – and we have feelings that are hard to describe. Sure we’re sad not to have her around but we also know that it’s time for her to experience the life and the world first hand.
Greta graduated from UGA in 2010 with a degree in International Affairs and a minor in Spanish. She applied and got accepted into the Peace Corps, but because of budget cuts her placement has been postponed. Less than 2 hours after hearing this news, Greta had sent at least a half dozen resumes to Ameri-Core, Red Cross and other institutions.
Not one for sitting around waiting for something to come to her, Greta has decided to move out west to see if she can make something happen for her.
We wish the best to both Greta and Cat – we know however, that with these two they won’t be relying on wishes but rather on there own determination and perseverance.
